This program offers students the opportunity to achieve level one certification in the Welder Trade. The course is taught at the Commerce Court Campus and runs one day / week, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm from September to June. The course begins the week of September 8th. The course is taught at the College Drive Campus and runs 5 days / week from September to December. Baking for Cooks - Dual Credit YCF4TE
This course will provide the fundamentals of baking techniques and methods that the cooking trade requires, including the basic preparation of several doughs and creams for all types of baked goods used in desserts. The students will be aware of the theoretical and practical aspect of baking in the field of cooking. Child Development 1 - Dual Credit ECE111
This course will introduce students to the physical, intellectual and socio-emotional development of children from conception to early childhood. Heavy Duty Equipment Technician - Level 1 Apprenticeship OZE4TE
After finishing this apprenticeship, students can expect to be employed in a position that is responsible for diagnoses, repairs, assembly and disassembly for large equipment used in transportation, natural resources, construction and materials-handling industries. Maintenance and modifications of components and systems is also included in the training. This level 1 apprenticeship is 240 hours of in-school training.

General Carpenter - Level 1 Apprenticeship OZT4TE
Apprentices can expect to cover a wide scope of the carpenter trade, which includes many aspects of guilding construction. Carpenters work primarily in one area of specialization within the trade such as concrete forming, framing, finishing, interior systems and scaffolding. This course begins August 31 and runs full days for 8 weeks. For the balance of the semester, students are encouraged to apply their skills in a co-op placement.

Computer Imagery - Dual Credit ZAS4TE
This course will explore the endless and exciting possibilities of an image editing and painting program. Introductory exercises will highlight colour systems, file size relationships, scanned images, palettes, layers, channels, type and special effects. Through practical assignments, students will develop an understanding of rasterized imagery, photo manipulation, and special effects to be used for print or web-based design. The skills learned in this course will enable the students to more productively complete assignments and projects. This course is the first step in developing ths skills required to work successfully in a video production team.
