Library Sales Representative
Position Location: Toronto
Career Cruising develops and markets www.careercruising.com, a subscription web site used by schools, libraries and employment centres across North America. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join an enthusiastic team dedicated to making Career Cruising the best and most affordable career planning system in North America.
As a Library Sales Representative, you will be responsible for helping to expand our growing base of clients by:
- contacting potential library clients to introduce them to Career Cruising
- promoting Career Cruising at library conferences across North America
- educating potential clients about the features and benefits of Career Cruising
- developing plans and strategies to increase product sales
- making presentations to libraries and librarians
- suggesting product improvements to our development team
- maintaining a detailed database of client contact information.
In evaluating potential candidates for this position we will be looking for individuals with the following skills and interests:
- excellent communications skills, both verbal and written (a large portion of our communication takes place via e-mail)
- an interest in building long-term relationships with clients
- a high level of personal motivation and desire to succeed
- an ability to work independently
- a high level of attention to detail (you will have to maintain detailed records using a client database system for hundreds of clients)
- familiarity with standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word
We are looking for a full-time, permanent employee with a University degree who is interested in long-term employment. The position offers a base salary plus commission as well as benefits. Previous sales experience will be viewed favourably.

Network Sales Representative

Career Cruising is a leading developer of online career guidance resources for the North American marketplace. Career Cruising's intuitive career exploration and planning tools are in use at over ten thousand schools, employment agencies, libraries, colleges and universities across Canada and the United States.
We recently launched Career Cruising Network, a product that brings together education and industry to help students achieve their goals and address communities' workforce development needs.
Specifically, Network provides a set of powerful online tools that:
- Involve local employers in workforce development
- Connect career researchers to online mentors
- Showcase career development opportunities (internships, job shadowing, etc.)
- Integrate important local information and resources
Fully integrated with the Career Cruising guidance system, Network enhances the career exploration process for students and adult career researchers, while helping local employers and workforce development agencies shape the future workforce.
Each Career Cruising Network implementation is locally managed by a regional system administrator. Normally, this system administrator is an organization such as a workforce development agency, chamber of commerce, or other industry-education partnership.
We are searching for a Sales Representative to help us market and sell Career Cruising Network to potential regional system administrators across North America.
As a dedicated Network Sales Representative, you will be responsible for helping to expand our growing base of clients by:
