Portfolio Tool and Career Advisor Management System Enhancements

We have released a number of new features within the Portfolio Tool and the Career Advisor Management System (CAMS) designed to improve the user experience while at the same time providing administrators with new and more powerful tools with which to customize the program. These new features are the result of several months of hard work by our development team and reflect our commitment to continual improvement.

The enhancements to the Portfolio Tool include:

• An advisement log showing notes from meetings students have had with their advisors and teachers
  
• A new section for students to document their hobbies and interests
  
• An enhanced extracurricular activities section that allows students to record additional details
  
• A new option in the Printer-Friendly Version section which allows students to select the specific sections of their portfolio that they would like to include in the printout
  
• The ability to attach files (Word documents, image files, etc.) to specific sections of the portfolio, such as Work Experiences, Volunteer Experiences, and Extracurricular Activities
  
• An overhauled Education Plan that makes it easier for students to select new courses and edit their current selections
  
• A revised Post-Secondary Plan that will help provide more focus to students’ plans

• Expanded reporting capabilities which allow for the generation of reports covering additional sections of the Portfolio Tool
  
• The option to customize reports based on a variety of criteria
  
• The ability to export reports as text or Excel files
  
• A separate section specifically for portfolio completion reports
  
• An advisement log for maintaining a record of all advisement meetings with students
  
• Access to program support materials (user’s guides, classroom activities, and other helpful documents) within CAMS
  
• A new “Mass Print Options” section that allows for the mass printing of students’ portfolios, resumes, and/or education plans
  
• Additional portfolio settings that allow schools to tailor more of the Portfolio to meet their needs
