ILP Training Descriptions & Registration

ILP for the Inexperienced - The Student and School Tool

8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Who should attend:

  • First time users of the ILP system and/or the School ILP tool - counselors, advisors, teachers, school administrators
  • Counselors, advisors, faculty, and/or administrative staff who are designated as "ILP Administrators" for their school or district, who have not had training and need hands-on, in-person training on the School ILP Administration Tool
  • Counselors and advisors who will be reviewing and monitoring the progress students will be making towards the completion of their ILPs and have not received training
**If you have been designated an ILP Administrator for your school, it means that you have been entrusted with the responsibility for the overall management of the implementation and usage of the ILP system at your school, including the authority to add additional counselors, advisors, and teachers with access to the student ILP data and reports, manage ILP program settings, assign students to counselors, advisors and teachers, map high school courses to the Kentucky Common Course Codes, generate ILP usage and data reports for your school, etc.

What will be covered:

This will be a hands-on, interactive session during which participants will learn:

IN THE STUDENT ILP

  1. How to access the student ILP
  2. About the key components of the ILP
  3. How the ILP interlinks with the career assessment, career exploration and school exploration modules in Career Cruising
  4. About the interlink between the ILP and Go Higher Kentucky
  5. About the ILP Completion Standards by grade level
  6. About and practice developing an ILP

IN THE SCHOOL ILP

  1. Manage student data, including how to locate the usernames and passwords for the individual student ILPs
  2. Review student ILPs and resumes
  3. Progress towards meeting the ILP completion standards by grade level
  4. Send messages to students
  5. Manage parent access
  6. Utilize the Annual ILP Review functions
  7. Setup additional counselors, advisors and teachers with access to the School ILP
  8. Assign students to counselors, advisors and teachers
  9. Map high school courses to the Kentucky Common Course Codes
  10. Usage of the ILP data reports

ILP - Making it work for your Students and School

1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Who should attend:

  • Any teachers who work with ILPs and need hands-on, in person training on new components
  • Counselors and administrators, responsible for ILPs in the schools, who need hands-on, in-person training
  • Anyone in the school who helps make the ILP an important tool for students
  • Alternative school teachers and administrators who need hand-on, in-person training

What will be covered:

This will be a hands-on, interactive session of the ILP during which participants will learn:

  • How to use the Alternative Completion Component
  • About including Intervention Plans in the ILP
  • How Gifted Student Services Plans in the ILP will help your Gifted Students
  • Techniques and strategies to make the ILP work for everyone—students and schools
