Xyting Insight™ was developed by XYTE Inc. of Madison, Wisconsin. XYTE clients that have benefited from the instrument include organizations such as Bristol Myers, Morgan Stanley, First Mutual Financial, Airbus SAS, the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, and the US Navy and Army.

Psychometric testing has shown Xyting Insight™
to be both reliable and valid. In addition, results of
the assessment are monitored on an on-going basis.

Techniques used to ensure reliability, validity and cultural impartiality include:

  1. Test retests to measure consistency of results

  2. Correlations or item consistency with scales

  3. Chronbach alpha scores

  4. Careful logical reviews of questions to ensure content validity

  5. Testing face validity through hundreds of face-to-face interviews, as well as having every individual who takes the instrument rank his/her degree of agreement with results on a five-point scale

  6. R Mode factor analysis

  7. Conducting follow-up personal interviews and comparing them with instrument-generated results

  8. Factor analysis for consistency across race, age and gender
