CORRECTIONAL SERVICES A CORSRA
This course provided the students the ability to learn the role and responsibilities of a correctional officer; discuss relevant rules, regulations and laws; and discuss defensive tactics, restraint techniques and first aid procedures, as used in the correctional setting. The student will analyze rehabilitation and alternatives to institutionalization. Students will prepare for the certification required for employment as a correctional officer. The student will be able to take the TDCJ Correctional Officer Certification.

FIREFIGHTER 2A DUAL 12th FIRE2A
Firefighter II is the second course in a series for students studying firefighter safety and
development. Students will understand Texas Commission on Fire Protection rules and regulations,
proper incident reporting and records, proper use of personal protective equipment, and the
principles of fire safety. Students will demonstrate proper use of fire extinguishers, ground ladders,
fire hoses, and water supply apparatus systems.

FORENSIC SCIENCE FORSCI
Students will learn investigative procedures related to crime scene, questioning, interviewing, criminal behavior characteristics, and scientific procedures used to solve crimes. Additionally, students will collect and analyze evidence through case studies and simulated crime scenes such as fingerprint analysis, ballistics, and blood spatter analysis. Students will learn the history, legal aspects, and career options for forensic science. Student will be charged a $25 lab fee to cover shop supplies used in the course.

This course is an overview of the history, organization, and functions of local, state, and federal law enforcement. This course will also contain Community Emergency Response Team training. This course includes the role of constitutional law, the United States legal system, criminal law, law enforcement technology, and the classification and elements of crime. Students will learn about Traffic Stops, Felony arrests, and Crime scene investigation. Students will be able to take the Teen CERT certification.

This laboratory-based course is a study of the history of public safety communications and of the federal and state laws affecting public safety communications. In addition, telephone and radio communication systems are studied as are communication documentation; emergency management; 911; stress and crisis management. This course will prepare the student to walk into a job after graduation. This class will also teach procedures in Security and patrol techniques in security. This class will Patrol parking lots of school. Students will receive the knowledge and skills needed to test for the National 911 Dispatch certification from NAED with documentation of hours on simulator.

PRINCIPLES OF LAW, PUBLIC SAFTEY, CORRECTIONS AND SECURITY A PRILPA
Principles of Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security introduce students to professions in law enforcement, security, corrections, and fire and emergency management services. Students will examine the roles and responsibilities of police, courts, corrections, private security, and protective agencies of fire and emergency services. The course provides students with an overview of the skills necessary for careers in law enforcement, fire service, security, and corrections.
