LEARNING SKILLS 1: SKILLS FOR SUCCESS IN SECONDARY SCHOOL GLE1O1
This course focuses on learning strategies to help students become better, more independent learners. Students will learn how to develop and apply literacy and numeracy skills, personal management skills, and interpersonal and teamwork skills to improve their learning and achievement in school, the workplace, and the community. The course helps students build confidence and motivation to pursue opportunities for success in secondary school and beyond. Students will develop their God given gifts in involving skill development. They will develop and reinforce these skills in collaboration with their peers. Students will work with their peers in a respectful, sensitive manner reflecting the gospel message.

LEARNING SKILLS 2: SKILLS FOR SUCCESS IN SECONDARY SCHOOL GLE2O1
This course focuses on learning strategies to help students become better, more independent learners. Students will work with their peers in a respectful, sensitive manner reflecting the gospel message. This course is an extension of GLE10 and introduces students to learning theories and strategies, prepares them to become effective independent learners, and helps them increase their personal management skills, both in school and in other contexts. Students will learn how to use reflective thinking, structured inquiry, goal-setting strategies, and time- and stress-management skills to identify and work towards their goals.

LEARNING STRATEGIES GLE4O1
This course improves students’ learning and personal-management skills, preparing them to make successful transitions to work, training, and/or postsecondary education destinations. Students will assess their learning abilities and use literacy, numeracy, and research skills and personal-management techniques to maximize their learning. Students will investigate trends and resources to support their postsecondary employment, training, and/or education choices and develop a plan to help them meet their learning and career goals. Students will develop their God given gifts in involving skill development. They will develop and reinforce these skills in collaboration with their peers. Students will work with their peers in a respectful, sensitive manner reflecting the gospel message.
