Fashion Design 1 (Troy High) 07332
Students will have an opportunity to apply the principles of line and design to create an original garment. Students will use the computer to aid in the fashion design process. This design will be based on the principles of color, design, texture, and fabric performance. The student will learn to draft a pattern for their design, then construct the garment. No Retake.

Fashion Design 2 will allow the student to design and sew more difficult garments. They will learn more advanced techniques. They will be required to use the serger and the embroidery machine. This course begins where Parenthood/Child Development 1 stopped. Care and development of the child from the first birthday through adolescence are the focus of this course. The social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of the child at each age will be explored thoroughly.
