French I gives the student an elementary knowledge of vocabulary and grammar. Three verb tenses—present, past, and implied future—are studied; consequently, the student is able to converse in the language to a limited degree. The course includes many cultural activities, such as singing, learning about the country, and learning about the people.

French II 11022X0
French II is a challenging course of language study. Considerable grammar structure and verb conjugations are included at this level, as well as vocabulary. There is still some time, however, to study French cuisine, art, etc. Records, films, and slides are used to present various aspects of the culture.

Spanish I 11412X0
Spanish I is designed to teach students to use basic Spanish in both speaking and writing. Additionally, culture of the Spanish-speaking world is introduced to students through reading, audio-visuals, and conversation.

This course is a continuing development of language skills emphasizing conversational skills with advanced grammar usage. Cultural topics will also be highlighted.
