Theater Arts I (Beginning) 53152X0
Theater Arts I is a survey course designed to introduce the student to theatre history and literature. Also, the major disciplines of theatre art: acting, directing, play-writing, and design will be studied. The course serves as an introduction to play production, including scenic construction, stage properties, costume construction, stage lighting, and sound. Includes daytime school performance and an afterschool performance.

Theater Arts II (Intermediate) 53162X0
Theater Arts II offers participation in and understanding of theatrical performance. Performance skills include: the development of speaking skills in a variety of theatrical settings, the development of theatrical roles, direction, the use of character makeup, and script writing (including the development of acting skills for theatrical performance). Performance includes a daytime school performance and after school performance. After school rehearsal may be required.

Theater Arts III (Proficient) Honors 53175X0
Theater Arts III is a continuation of Theater Arts II with the major focus being on demonstration and performance. Students continue their understanding of theatre literature and history, demonstrate acting skills, use critique, study acting styles, direct others for performance and continuation of skills from the introduction class. Students may participate in a daytime school performance and after school performance. After school rehearsals may be required.

Theater Arts IV (Advanced) Honors 53185X0
Students proficient (93 Average for Theater Arts III) in performance learn the skills necessary to competently direct a short play. Students may direct scenes or short plays. Working with student actors for a student performance during the school day.
